Computer and Telephone Cabling

T & S Solutions Cabling provides network infrastructure services to many schools , Charities and businesses large and small, throughout the Midlands.

Category 5e (CAT 5e) is the standard cabling option,  which is easier to install and more cost effective.

Cat5e covers all the standard day to day needs of any office environment.

Once installed each cable run can be utilised for either connecting a telephone or computer.

Category 6 (Cat 6\A) is designed to support upto 1GB data speeds. In addition it can support up to 10GB connections but over a short distance of 50 metres.

A  more expensive cabling system, but as speed requirements increase its well worth the long term investment.

Fibre Optic Cable is primarily utilised to connect data cabinets on different floors (known as backbones) together to provide a very fast link for data transfer.

Unlike the 100 metre  limitation of twisted pair, fibre optic can be run well past this limitation depending on the fibre type and transceivers installed in the routers and switches.
